Pokemon is single greatest thing since cars were invented that are forcing people to get outside and walking again.  I walk  or bike to church nearly every day (a whole 17 minutes walking and less than 7 on my bike) and I’ve run into people who I’ve never seen before.  Indianola feels like a community, with actual people and not just cars.  It’s great. The choirs of Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, MN, will be performing a choral concert at Simpson College in Indianola inside Smith Chapel on Sunday, May 15 at 6:00pm.  A reception will follow. The 65 student musicians will perform a program of sacred and secular music that includes works of Luther, J.S. Bach, F. Mendelssohn, R. Wagner, C.V. Stanford, J. Stainer and others. Teal Pumpkin Project

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project this year. Water bottles, a fire pit to warm up by, and some other treats for young and old will be available at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Beggar’s Night.
